EXECUTIONS TAKE PLACE IN INDONESIA
Six prisoners on death row in Indonesia have been executed.
All faced the firing squad, including five foreigners from Brazil, the Netherlands, Vietnam,Malawi and Nigeria.
Five were executed on Nusakambangan Island, off the southern coast of Java.
The sixth was executed in Boyolali district in central Java.
These are the first executions to take place in Indonesia under new President Joko Widodo who is taking a hard-line approach to drug offenders.
